Iris

The picture has been created by hand-cut, using color paper. It consists of three layers of paper that are attached to each other in different places. Two layers (Dark grey and orange) have been cut and the third layer, which is white, in the background (uncut). To create this work, I was inspired by my own shot, which I took when I was walking through my garden. I was impressed by the unbelievable and untouchable look of this plant when it was shined by the sun. Irises have been covered by the droplets of the rain, that gave it freshness and volume. The work includes two signatures. One is on the upfront, right-bottom corner, and it is cut. The other one is on the backside.
